CatSci Ltd are thrilled to announce that we have won the Wales Business Awards’ Workplace Wellbeing Award.
Winning this award is a fantastic achievement for CatSci, and one that we are incredibly proud of. We are committed to the mental and physical wellbeing of our employees, and winning this accolade is a reflection of that commitment.
We are dedicated to supporting our team as we value people as an essential and precious resource, and their wellbeing is of utmost importance to us. In 2021, we launched our Wellbeing Programme, called WellCat, an initiative to promote mental wellbeing. With virtual lunch time sessions, quizzes, guest speakers, charity events and more, WellCat enables colleagues to come together, whether working from home, in the office or across the globe. Also, our WellCat Committee runs a regular book club, fitness activities, and has even recently launched a new craft club, so that our employees can connect over shared interests and hobbies, or maybe even try something completely new. We recognise that we spend a lot of time within the work environment, so it is imperative that we take the time to do things we enjoy together, too.
Another step we took to help our employees was to give a wellbeing bonus. This was a gift for the team to invest in their own wellbeing. The results were wonderful to see, with members using it for garden upgrades, walking equipment, bikes, a surfboard, musical instruments, and more. We are pleased to be repeating the Wellbeing bonus again this year.
We are passionate about all manners of our team’s wellbeing: staff welfare, mental health, individual and group support, and overall satisfaction. Wellbeing is one of the main priorities for CatSci, which is why winning The Workplace Wellbeing Award is such a proud moment for us.
