CatSci Ltd is pleased to share that we have been shortlisted for two Wales Business Awards: The Workplace Wellbeing Award and the Diversity and Inclusion Award.
Being shortlisted for these two prestigious awards is recognition of the emphasis that CatSci puts into looking after our team, and making CatSci a supportive and inclusive place to work. We are dedicated to supporting our staff in all areas: in their career progression, development, and gaining new qualifications. As well as aiding their professional life, we also promote the positive wellbeing of our employees. Wellbeing is one of our main priorities, while we always have and always will be committed to diversity and inclusion to ensure everyone has the same opportunities to thrive.
In 2021, CatSci achieved Level 2 certification in the Government’s Disability Confident Scheme, which is an initiative that helps employers commit to attracting, recruiting and retaining people with disabilities. We also launched our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy, which focused on scaling up our efforts to achieve diversity and equality in the workplace. We believe that a rich and diverse mix of people – who know that they are valued – will only make the CatSci family stronger, and make us a “employer of choice.”
When it comes to our employees’ wellbeing, we are dedicated to supporting the team through all aspects. We value people as an essential and precious resource, and are dedicated to our staff’s mental health. In 2021, we launched our Wellbeing Programme, called WellCat, which consists of a Wellbeing Committee that offers regular lunchtime activities, quizzes, charities events, specialist speakers, and even a Wellbeing Bonus, which is a gift for employees to invest in their own wellbeing. We also run a weekly wellbeing survey to understand how our colleagues feel about working at CatSci, and how to improve our approach and ways of working. In CatSci everyone has a voice.
Being shortlisted for these awards comes as a huge privilege for CatSci; they are recognition of the hard work that we put into making sure our staff feel supported and included. As CatSci continues to grow and evolve, we will always be committed to ensuring that our team remains at the heart of all we do.
