CatSci CEO Ross Burn Shortlisted for Entrepreneur of the Year at Cardiff Business Awards 2020

We are pleased to announce that our CEO, Dr Ross Burn, has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Entrepreneur of the Year award at the Cardiff Business Awards 2020.

The prestigious award recognises individuals who have shown the desire to succeed and used their ambition to turn their ideas into a successful business. In particular, it highlights entrepreneurs who demonstrate exceptional vision, leadership and personality in the development of their business.

This award acknowledges Ross’ extraordinary entrepreneurial spirit, which has been vital to our exponential business growth. Since our establishment in 2010, we have evolved our team, facilities and capabilities beyond our original focus on catalyst screening to become an award-winning, end-to-end, innovation partner for process research and development of small molecule best-in-class therapeutics.

The award also highlights Ross’ ambition and commitment to continuing this growth through to 2021 with our ambitious £1.3 million investment plan, which is on track to be delivered ahead of schedule. This plan will allow us to further develop our facilities to enhance our ability to support the development of ground-breaking therapeutics, and expand our highly qualified technical team to continue our aim of creating or sustaining over 500 high-value jobs by 2030.

Founded in 2015, the Cardiff Business Awards aim to celebrate the best businesses in Cardiff, highlighting the potential that exists in Wales’ capital city and attracting nominees from across the business spectrum. Fellow finalists include entrepreneurs from the construction, home furnishings and restaurant sectors, with the winner set to be announced at a virtual awards ceremony on Friday 13th November.
