CatSci and LabLinks are pleased to invite you to take part in their 2nd annual virtual chemistry poster competition, The Scientists of Tomorrow, Innovating Today!
With a chance to win £1000, the virtual poster competition is for final year PhD students and will take place on LabLinks on Friday 7th July 2023. It is free to enter and attend; the public are invited to come along and support.
The posters will focus on chemistry but there are no limitations on topic; the virtual event is a celebration of the scientists of tomorrow. We are looking forward to showcasing the emerging talent in the field and bringing the scientific community together.
The first-place winner will receive The CatSci Award, which is a prize of £1000 as well as the opportunity to present their poster at a CatSci symposium next year in front of industry experts and the scientific community. There will also be a runner-up prize, The LabLinks Award of £500.
To enter the competition, participants will need to upload an abstract of no more than 250 words by 23:59 BST, Monday 15th May 2023. Register here.

How It Works
Applicants will need to register here, and then submit an abstract of 250 words no later than 23:59 BST on Monday 15th May 2023. Our esteemed judging panel, comprised of industry experts, will then select the top abstracts. We will contact these applicants by 30th May and invite them to present a poster at our virtual finals.
The event will be open to the public, who will also need to register to attend.
The winning poster will be decided by our judging panel of industry experts, along with votes from attendees.

After a great response from participants and attendees last year, CatSci and LabLinks are pleased to be running this competition for the second year. We are sure that this year will be even bigger and better than last year. We can’t wait to be inspired and educated by the excellent calibre of tomorrow’s scientists.
Please note, by completing the registration form you are registering to attend the event. You will receive a follow up email with the link to upload your abstract. If you are participating, please ensure you upload your abstract by 23:59 BST on Monday 15th May 2023.
