CatSci Ltd Shortlisted for the Best Wellbeing Initiative Award in the CIPD Wales Awards 2023

CatSci Ltd, an award-winning innovation partner for medicines development, are pleased to share that we have been selected as finalists for the Best Wellbeing Initiative Award (Under 250 Employees) in the CIPD Wales Awards 2023. 

It is a great honour to be shortlisted for this prestigious award. Our people are at the heart of our business, and we are dedicated to their mental and physical wellbeing. The Best Wellbeing Initiative Award recognises employers that place employee wellbeing centre stage within the organisation and have embedded a strong culture of workplace wellbeing. Being made a finalist for this accolade demonstrates CatSci’s commitment to our team, and we are incredibly proud to be recognised with this shortlisting.  

During the pandemic, we introduced WellCat, an initiative to promote mental wellbeing and bring the team together, whether working from home, in the office, or across the globe. Now that lockdown has finished, we have continued our WellCat scheme, and have many thriving activity groups that enable the team to bond over shared interests, including a book club, many fitness groups, a craft club, and more.  

Another initiative we introduced was our annual wellbeing bonus, which is a gift to the team to invest in their own wellbeing. We were thrilled to see how well-received it was, with members using it for garden upgrades, holidays, walking equipment, bikes, a surfboard, musical instruments, and more. The wellbeing bonus is a small way for us to give back to our team and encourage them to invest in their own self-care. 

We are passionate about all manners of our team’s wellbeing: staff welfare, mental health, individual and group support, and overall satisfaction. Wellbeing is one of the main priorities for CatSci, which is why we are so proud to be shortlisted for this prestigious accolade. 

Last year, we were thrilled to win the Wales Business Awards’ Workplace Wellbeing Award, which is a further testament to the hard work and dedication to supporting our team’s wellbeing.
