Last month, the CatSci team enjoyed a summer celebration, CatFest. This was a CatSci-style festival to celebrate the hard work of our fantastic team.
CatFest was a great success that was enjoyed by the whole team, as well as some of our external partners including Keensight Capital. Everyone had an afternoon of fun, with a band, a bouncy castle, a bucking bronco, summer fayre activities, face painting, and a pizza truck.
The event was a gift to employees from our CEO, Dr Ross Burn and CCO, Dr Simon Tyler. They wanted to put on a celebration to commemorate the hard work and commitment of the CatSci team, while looking ahead to our exciting future.
And CatSci certainly have a lot to celebrate! We recently announced a significant investment into CatSci by Keensight Capital, which will allow us to achieve our ambitious growth plans. This includes expansion of our capabilities, workforce, laboratories, facilities, and offerings. We have also been incredibly successful this year in our award wins; we have won the coveted Queen’s Award For Enterprise, Bionow Export of the Year Award, and the Inspire Business Awards Business of the Year Award. These significant wins would not be possible without the dedication of the whole team, so CatFest was to honour their passion in helping us achieve our mission of developing life-saving therapeutics to meet patients’ needs.
Alongside that, we have also welcomed many incredible people to our team. We have recently hired our 100th employee, which was a huge milestone for us. Some appointments include Dr Gary Parsons, Rob Crook, Jenn Clark, Dr Jerome Theobald and Dr Raj Gill, amongst many other talented scientists and support staff. CatFest was an excellent way to bring the whole team together – with team members coming from Portugal and Canada – and begin the next phase of our journey.
A big thank you to Ross and Simon, as well as the team who made CatFest possible.
