CatSci Wins Prestigious Barclays Entrepreneur Award

We are pleased to announce that CatSci is a regional winner of the International Expansion Entrepreneur of the Year for the 2020 Barclays Entrepreneur Awards. With this win, we have also been shortlisted for a National Award, which will be announced at the Barclays Entrepreneur Awards gala in November.

The Barclays Entrepreneur Awards highlight and recognise entrepreneurs from across the UK who are transforming industry, the economy and society in unique and positive ways. In particular, the ‘International Expansion of the Year’ is awarded to high-growth businesses expanding beyond the UK, at pace. 

This award is in recognition of our exponential business growth. Following CatSci’s establishment in 2010, our CEO, Dr Ross Burn, has demonstrated extraordinary entrepreneurial spirit and vision. With an original focus on catalyst screening, we have since evolved our capabilities, facilities and expert team. We now provide end-to-end, perfect-for-purpose process research and development services to reflect the evolving market demand in drug substance development. And we only intend to continue this growth, with a plan to create 500 high-value jobs by 2030 – consolidating our position as the go-to location for best-in-class pharmaceutical development services.
