CatSci’s Rob Crook Invited to Speak at OPR&D Conference
CatSci, an award-winning innovation partner for medicines development, are proud to share that our Director of Chemical Sciences, Rob Crook, has been invited to speak at the Scientific Update Organic Process Research and Development Conference. The OPR&D conference will take place 13th – 15th March 2023 at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort, Clearwater, Florida.
Rob Crook will be delivering a presentation entitled Early Process Development and Scale-Up of Orally Active Apomorphine Related Drug Candidates. He will explore how the CatSci team were tasked with taking the synthesis of an apomorphine-like drug and designing an optimal way to scale-up the molecule. His presentation will explore the approach taken by CatSci, focusing on the design of an inherently safe process which was robust and economical to supply high quality material to support early clinical studies. The results demonstrated significant improvements across all aspects of safety, cost, and robustness, and was successfully executed at multi-kg scale.
We are incredibly proud that Rob has been invited to speak at this esteemed conference, and we are sure that his knowledge and expertise will enlighten and inspire the scientific community.
