Dr Rachel Kahan

Team Manager

Rachel obtained her MChem degree in Chemistry from the University of Sussex in 2011, before she received her PhD in organometallic chemistry. Rachel then worked as a postdoctoral scientist in Manchester for three years, before joining Johnson Matthey in Cambridge to work on various development projects, including the launch of new Dyad Palladate catalysts for cross-coupling. Rachel has broad experience in chemistry, ranging from catalysis, organometallic chemistry, and photochemistry.

She joined CatSci in 2022 as an Associate Principal Scientist, and, in less than a year, Rachel was promoted to Chemistry Team Manager, where she harnesses her experience to deliver on customer-facing projects and advance CatSci capabilities in photoredox catalysis.
