It is free to enter and attend; the public are invited to come along and support.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The posters will focus on chemistry but there are&nbsp;no limitations on topic; the virtual event is a celebration of the scientists of tomorrow. We are looking forward to showcasing the emerging talent in the field and bringing the scientific community together. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first-place winner will receive The CatSci Award, which is a prize of \u00a31000 as well as the&nbsp;opportunity to present their poster at a CatSci symposium next year in front of industry experts and the scientific community. Our esteemed judging panel, comprised of industry experts, will then select the top abstracts. We will contact these applicants by 30<sup>th<\/sup> May and invite them to present a poster at our virtual finals.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event will be open to the public, who will also need to&nbsp;register&nbsp;to attend.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The winning poster will be decided by our judging panel of industry experts, along with votes from attendees.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Dates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-navy-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-orange-color\"><strong>Wednesday 5<sup>th<\/sup> April 2023<\/strong><\/mark> \u2013\u202fAbstract submission and registration\u202fopens\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-orange-color\">Monday 15<sup>th<\/sup> May 2023, 23:59 BST<\/mark><\/strong>\u202f\u2013 Submission deadline, Applications close\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-orange-color\">Tuesday 30<sup>th<\/sup> May 2023<\/mark><\/strong>\u202f\u2013 Successful applicants contacted\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-orange-color\">Monday 19<sup>th<\/sup> June 2023<\/mark><\/strong>\u202f\u2013 Deadline for finalists\u2019 posters and flash presentations to be sent to us\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-orange-color\">Friday 7<sup>th<\/sup> July 2023<\/mark><\/strong>\u202f\u2013 Finals, virtual competition day\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-orange-color\">Thursday 13<sup>th<\/sup> July 2023 <\/mark><\/strong>\u2013 Winners announced \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After a great response from participants and attendees last year, CatSci and LabLinks are pleased to be running this competition for the second year. We are sure that this year will be even bigger and better than last year.
